3-day trip to University via Palakkad

For the past 3 days had been on another trip to Palakkad. Actually, the trip was to Thenhipalam. Just that it was via Palakkad. Didn't have any other place to stay. And also, was a chance to meet some of my friends. So, bundled everything into one.

So I had left from here in the morning of 21st. Reached there by afternoon and then met couple of my friends. And then, went for a movie. "Marykkundoru kunjaadu". It was good visiting the often-visited theatre, after a long time. Then had food from our usual Thattukada. And then reached our place of stay. Was staying along with my friends, in their rented room. Spent the night there. Was very low on sleep. Talking was more evident.

Then on the 22nd, was time for the trip for which I had actually come. Went to the railway station early in the morning, and that too walking. Lucky, that my fellow mates were there with me, they had a small jogging as well. :) And then, after boarding two trains, one from Palakkad and the other from Shronur, I got down at Parappanangadi (Malappuram district). And the main place, where I am going, is the Calicut University at Thenhipalam. There were couple of corrections to be made in my marklists, for which I had come to the University. And there was some issue for sorting, for my friend too, who had accompanied with me to the University.
Things went smooth and my work there had been over by afternoon, but then waited on for my friend. That carried on till the evening. And another surprise thing that happened was, I met the father of another schoolmate. Hadn't had any details regarding her, ever since we had left school, and now came to know about her. Felt good.
Then returned to Palakkad by the 6 o'clock train from Parappanangadi. And reached there by night 9. Had dinner from New and went to the place of stay.

The next day, on 23rd, there was a meeting scheduled with another two classmates at college. Had breakfast with them. We had been meeting after about 6 months. And it was a good experience too, though it was a short one. And after meeting them, hurried to the railway station. I had a train to catch, and in accordance with a deep thought in my mind, I MISSED the train! There was something going on in my mind, of a certain incident like that. So, with the only train to Bangalore coming only at the night, I postponed my trip to the next day. So since had the day off, and my fellow mates had an exam the next day, I went to meet another friend. Went for another movie along with her, Traffic. It was a different movie. A different story, but still a must-watch. I must say that, when I saw Final Destination 2 after a couple of days, it made me remember Traffic. And yes, it is a Malayalam movie! :)
And then spent the rest of the evening there at the room.

And on the next day again, made the trip to college, after 2 months, isn't much of a time, considering that I ain't a student there anymore. Couldn't meet much of my beloved juniors, because it was exam time there. Met some teachers and also had a long talk with our lecturer-cum-friend Ma'am, at the Department Library. We were catching up on the rest of the batch, she was updating her database, regarding other people from our batch, who was doing what, where and all. And I was catching up on the latest news happening there.
After that, hurried to the railway station, this time made a point, not to miss the train and to reach early. Met another friend at the station. She had nearly tore me apart, the other day, when I pledged to meet her, and later on lost track of the time, and couldn't meet her. Glad that I did later on.

And thus, after boarding the train, reached home at about 8 pm at night, after a long trip. Usually I used to return back home soon, from such a trip. Might go one day morning, and return the other day night. But this was considerably long and a detailed one too.

So, that was it.
And after a long long time, such a long post.

Isn't it better to say it to the face?

It's a straight question. Isn't it better to say it right to the face ? I mean, there are various instances in our life, when we don't say things to people. We somehow manage to avoid the situation, or compromise that the situation is covered up. So that, we don't have to face awkward circumstances. But actually, shouldn't we be doing the opposite thing ? In this new age, with means of communication moving into various realms, it has become possible to express yourself in easier ways, than meeting the person, and saying it to the them directly. And definitely, all persons, prefer the better versions of communication, since it doesn't involve so much of embarrassment. When you are texting the person about your anger, your frustrations. The reason for this is the recent incident that I came across. Two friends - staying in touch all the time, meet in person after a long time. But due to some complexes, one was upset with the other. And naturally, when they

Vicious Circle of Survival of the Fittest

It's one of the famous theories existing in the world. The one part of the evolutionary theory proposed by Charles Darwin, which we all have learnt in school - "Survival of the fittest". Along the years of human evolution, the above said principle has seen to be followed by us as a species. And it is very evident in other species as well. The strong and the healthy ones, survive the competition and progress further in time. The ones who are weak, perish and the cycle repeats for numerous number of times. It might have been repeating for millions of years! Once one-sided, but it returns back! When we reflect on our society, we see the very repercussions of this theory in it. People have been evolving as civilizations along many years, and there have been remarkable changes in our societies as well. But as we should see two sides of everything, there are two sections of people, one which is very well off in their lives, and another section which is not at all so. P

The Culture of a Train

While closing the miles With at most sincerity Comes the responsibility Of staying true to yourself. Tales of people from everywhere And talks of everything  around The audience differs in whole But speaks a single language The journey speaks of oneness And of various adventures Of countless days and The numerous nights A singularity speaks Unknowingly sings its own song Of common dialects And permanent topics A train has its own identity From source to destination And carries along with it A prevalent culture through its people. Every traveller who joins the journey Becomes part of those verses Of miles and of hours Numerous, yet single in magnitude.
