The latest from Google - Google+

Expected to be a fierce competitor to Facebook, Google+ is grabbing the attention of everybody out there. With the amount of requests for invitations "going insane", and various people trying to access various methods to somehow grab that "G+" opportunity. I agree, I also blended into that madness. And until I got there, it was a fierce amount of excitement too. Though the interface almost looks familiar to Facebook, it ain't exactly like that. The inside things differ a lot. The main thing which we DON"T want Google+ to have is the Farms and Citys, growing into some kind of addiction to the users. We definitely wouldn't want that. And the Circles concept is amazing too. You have the option of not-sharing something with a particular group.
So altogether, it grabs the attentions. Well, to be accurate, anything new that Google comes up with, does. To watch out for, would be how much success this thing accelerates into. Because, for this thing to grow beyond that 500-million strong competition, it would require huge migration of people from here to there. Even though, it may be only for a trial. That means, it will take time.

The Trip

It was started off as just another Whatsapp group, but fortunately it ended up as something which materialized into a get-together. With couple of months of planning lead by our very own planning commision head, Mr. S, a trip to Ooty, worked out for the long weekend clubbed with Labor Day. The agenda was clear: A visit to our alma mater, a drive through the valleys of Ooty, and an overnight stay, and then the return day after - and yes, celebrating Mr. A’s homecoming as well. The plan looked simple, but the eagerness towards it wasn’t such. It had been a long time ever since the whole of Troublers (yes! that’s the name of our group), had sat down together, and talked like there wasn’t an end to the world. And The Trip was surely going to be a mark up for that. For me, it happened to be a rush through with missing out on the first day to The Trip. So after the hiccups with the month end closure and between the hurried heartbeats decrypting the excitement into smiles, I boarded t...

My Book Review - The Kite Runner

The Kite Runner - Khaled Hosseini Recently read this book. A wonderful work with blending of emotions. The story was interesting in the way it moved on from childhood to future life of the central character. It explains a lot about life in Afghanistan, though it is way back in the 80s, but still many times I felt really sorry for the life there. In a creation of fiction, it doesn't seem to be safe at all, so in reality, it would be worse.Would suggest anyone to read through it. The story is a definite example of the fact that, we do commit mistakes in our lives, and that there are chances to rectify them as well.

elections in d country..

Kerala and various other states of d country went to the vote on the 16th of April as part of the Phase-I of the elections in the country. And this time it is going to be really competitive. coz this time people want change. people r more aware of things. they are not going to fall for those old promises and vote. they r definitely changed. this is the scenario not at all places, but same places atleast. so this time its been different from olden times. so the political parties had to work really hard this time to gather votes for them. But after all, thinking generally, elections must be the process of electing proper officials to power and not just political parites. it must b an exercise that leads to the shaping of the country. And interesting thing is, u can always recollect all the negative aspects of the different political parties in the country at the time of elections. They all pin point mistakes of each others. So u surely get to know more. I am feeling sad that I couldn...
