Isn't it better to say it to the face?

It's a straight question. Isn't it better to say it right to the face ?

I mean, there are various instances in our life, when we don't say things to people. We somehow manage to avoid the situation, or compromise that the situation is covered up. So that, we don't have to face awkward circumstances. But actually, shouldn't we be doing the opposite thing ?

In this new age, with means of communication moving into various realms, it has become possible to express yourself in easier ways, than meeting the person, and saying it to the them directly. And definitely, all persons, prefer the better versions of communication, since it doesn't involve so much of embarrassment. When you are texting the person about your anger, your frustrations.

The reason for this is the recent incident that I came across.
Two friends - staying in touch all the time, meet in person after a long time. But due to some complexes, one was upset with the other. And naturally, when they met, they didn't utter a word to each other. And then, there was some exchange of texts, and off you go! The guy was rushing to meet the girl, and the so-called "roothna-manaana" routine might have happened. May sound complicated, but to witness it in real-time, is kinda funny!!

Instead of all this, whatever the situation may be, if they had taken the guts to tell the problem to each other straight on, then there would have been some understanding!

Congratulations to Sachin!

And after a wait of 369 days, the day has finally come! March 16, 2012 will go down in the history books as the day when the Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar reached the almost unrepeatable milestone of 100 International Centuries in the Game of Cricket. This particular century had garnered a lot of attention, especially since it was the 100th one. And also because it took such a long time. Possibly the most Sachin has taken between centuries before. But as we say, all good things come with a wait, Sachin also had to sweat it out for 33 innings and then came this much-awaited century. It hasn't been easy for him at all, it's not that you by-default get a 100 if you reach a particular point. He had to strive for each and every run, even for the single after the 99. That's how the game is. Just merely because he is an expert in the game, doesn't make his work easy. It just makes others to consider it as easy for him. For him, each and every match, each and every inn...

Questions of Sanity

Through those steps of solace Rise the moments of despair Speaking of one unanswered question "Why?" When the nights blind away With those chirps of silent pray From the crickets humming their way "Why?" For, those dark corners Seldom return a face to mark The happiness reveals with a big "Why?" And under the lights We picture our doomed agony Like shadows in perceptions of "Why?" Often, we turn around and look Behind our steps of grace To picture the realm of safety "Why?" Fear, the detestation from reality For those who keep onto it Often keep repeating endlessly "Why?" The time of redemption arises With moments of glory in dreams A glimpse of light again, a change "Why not?"

A Ride Through the Night

It's been a while since I've put my fingers to the task, but it feels good to be back. This time, I'm along the lines of Batman - yet, a little into philosophy though. Yes, I'm talking about the Night (without the 'K'). Often we are moving from one place to another, as part of work, or as part of our personal chores. And almost all the cases, the mode of transport are our favorite Buses and Trains, which we rely on, more trustfully even than our own toothbrush! So during one such various tours, the thought struck me that a wider population is being 'in transit' during the night hours. Some taking hours in single digits, and some in double. The reason for destinations may be many, for family, for work or be it anything. Amid the rush, there dwells a night life! Across these nights, several interesting caricatures surface with their own stories. There's the lady who has drawn the beds early, settled in her comfort zone. There's the...
